Installation

Color Profiler Suite may require reboot after installation

After you install and start Color Profiler Suite, if you cannot start any module from the menu selections or from the icons in the main window, run Windows Update, reboot the computer and then restart Color Profiler Suite.

Windows Vista

The installation of Color Profiler Suite on Windows Vista takes about 20 minutes, which is longer than with other Windows versions.

EFI ES-1000 Spectrophotometer

ES-1000 and Demo mode

If you disconnect the ES-1000 while Color Profiler Suite is running and then connect another ES-1000 that is also licensed for Color Profiler Suite, the main window of Color Profiler Suite shows that it is running in Demo mode. However, the individual modules are running in fully licensed mode.

Printer Profiler

Print button not active

In Printer Profiler, when you select the settings to print the measurement page, the Print button in the Job Properties window is not active, so you cannot press Enter to print. You must click the Print button.

Mac OS slider does not set maximum value

In Printer Profiler on Mac OS, if you try to set a field in the CMYK Patch Options window or the Edit Black Controls window to its maximum value by dragging a slider all the way to the right, the value displayed is slightly less than the maximum value. You can increase the value to its maximum using the right-arrow key, or you can type the maximum value directly in the field.

Calibration warning invalid for some Fiery controllers

If you use Printer Profiler to create a profile for one of the following Fiery controllers and you receive a warning after measuring that the measurements do not match the current calibration, you can ignore the warning and click Continue.

Device Linker

Print button not active

In Device Linker, when you select the settings to print the measurement page, the Print button in the Job Properties window is not active, so you cannot press Enter to print. You must click the Print button.

Monitor Profiler

Colors in operating system user interface displayed incorrectly

Monitor Profiler may not perform correctly on certain video hardware, such as chipsets in laptop computers. In these cases, applications that use ICC display profiles directly are not affected, but parts of the operating system user interface may exhibit color casts or other degradation. To avoid this issue, revert to the operating system's monitor calibration feature (such as Apple Display Calibrator Assistant).

Profile Editor

Display profile name does not appear

Chinese language only: If you use Monitor Profiler to create a new profile for your monitor and set it as the default display profile, Profile Editor does not display the profile name in the lower-left corner of the main Profile Editor window. If you exit Profile Editor and start it again, the profile name is displayed.

Profile Inspector

Partial rendering of profile image

When you run Color Profiler Suite on a PowerPC-based Mac, Profile Inspector fails to completely render the profile surface under some conditions when the Display Style is Surface + Points and the point size is less than 1.

Color Verifier

UTF8 characters not supported

Color Verifier cannot open a profile if the file name contains UTF8 characters.

Color Verification Assistant

Paper Catalog jobs

If a job uses a Paper Catalog media that has different output profiles for the front and back sides of a sheet, Color Verification Assistant does not recognize the back side profile and cannot be used to verify the color output of the back side of sheets in the job.
